3. Swim in Dutch Lake
Dutch Lake is a beautiful lake to swim in. There’s a nice big dock that is perfect for jumping off of, the water is incredible and so clean, and there is a ton of space on the sand/grass around the lake to hang out on too!
A lot of visitors swim, bring their SUP, or kayak on this lake. Check out Dutch Lake for a refreshing dip on a hot summer’s day if you’re in Clearwater, BC.
Note: Changerooms and washrooms are available free of charge
4. White Water Raft in Clearwater River
BC is home to incredible rivers and incredible views, which makes it a beautiful place to go white water rafting! You can book half-day, full-day, or multi-day trips to admire the beauty of the mountains in a super unique way!

5. Get Icecream or Sweets at the Hungry Hiker Cafe
The ice cream at the Hungry Hiker Cafe is delicious, and their “one scoop” is so big I had trouble finishing it! The building itself is lovely too: a log cabin style with beautiful flowers and picnic tables outside to enjoy your snacks. They also have delicious homemade meals for lunch, or baked goods if you’re interested in a quick snack!
6. BONUS: Day trip to Mount Robson Provincial Park or Hike the Berg Lake Trail
Mount Robson Provincial Park is around 2.5 hours from Clearwater, and is the perfect day trip! If you’re searching for more nature and mountain views, Mount Robson Park is the perfect place to spend some time. Mount Robson is the tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, and you are considered extremely lucky if you happen to see the very top (and not just a bunch of clouds around the tip!).
This provincial park is also home to the Berg Lake Trail – a popular hike (typically multi-day hike) located in the park. It can get very busy on this trail, and you can do only part of the hike to make it a day hike if you don’t have the time to do the whole trail.
